365 Project. Day 35, February 4: Today our kitty, Jasmine, is TWENTY years old. According to an online calculator, that is equivalent to 97 human years. Becky was almost 6 when we got Jasmine and her sister, Nala, from the Petco rescue group. We got to meet their mom, and they came home as soon as they were weaned. Nala sadly died from heart failure when they were 11, and right after that, food stopped disappearing from countertops. Jasmine was always the more fit one. She's always been an indoor cat, which has helped her longevity. Now she has diabetes, all kinds of bumps and barnacles, and very stinky breath. We'll see if I do any better at that age...
